back tracking.

I will admit, I am keeping with my new goal! I really did forget how much I loved taking pictures! However, I have not been staying updated on blogging. I blame this on our MacBook. It has this great, convenient way to upload pictures into several programs, including Facebook, but not blogger. Or at least I have found a quick way to upload them yet! Please enjoy an update on the Huddlestons complete with lots of pictures!!

Our friend Chris had his birthday last weekend! We join them and another couple in a trip to London to celebrate! I had no idea that TGI Fridays does birthdays so big! We had a great time spending the day with friends and enjoying each other's company!

Here is the birthday boy, his wife, and all his balloons..

All the waitresses came to sing to him, but he had to stand on the chair or the table!!

Mr. Samson got a new rain coat this week! My mom has been looking for one that would fit him for a while, and she finally found one! He's not wild about it, but he looks so cute in it!! And it helps keep him dry in this English weather!

The Texas colors are totally by chance, but I think they're prefect!!!

Lastly, Mr. Huddleston has completed his six week Airmen Leadership Class! I couldn't be more proud of him!! He was very devoted to his school work, persevered when times got tough, and successfully completed the class! I was honored to attend his graduation, and so excited to get to wear my dress! When we went and looked at wedding dresses I fell in love with this dress! I convinced my mom that I needed it and have been waiting to wear it! Little did I know that I'd be attending his ALS graduation in England or the SNOW!

My handsome husband and I..

Being presented with his certificate!

I love being Mrs. Huddleston!!

Of course every graduate needs a gift! Jery has been wanting an Apple TV for a while now.. and he deserved it!!!

The countdown to Texas is on!! I cannot wait to be home!! Enjoy great family and friends, shopping, and eating!!

new goal.

What in the world happened to my love of cameras? Why do I struggle to take pictures these days?!
Today as we begin making our way through February I am challenging myself. It's a simple task really. We have more than enough equipment. I am going to take pictures. Of everything we do. I don't want to miss out on any more opportunities to capture our lives!

I am going to use you. My cute pink canon point and shoot.

I am also going to use our SLR more. It just sits in the closet until we go somewhere. Enough of that.

I think if I had one of these adorable things, I be more excited to use this glorious camera we own!

The good news for my blog is that if I take more pictures, I'll have more to blog about!!

one year ago.

This weekend Jery and I celebrated the one year anniversary of our Justice of the Peace wedding. We plan to celebrate our April wedding as our anniversary, but since it was our first I thought we should do something!
A year ago this past weekend I married the man God created just for me. We fit together perfectly and complete each other's personalities. Things that stress me out are an easy fix for him. When I am an emotional wreck he is my rock. He likes to clean the parts of the house I hate to. He doesn't have a problem eating left overs, and I can't stand them *I will say I am getting better on this one!* Doing speeches make him so nervous, and I can do them easily. I love to cook and bake, he's confused in the kitchen. Saving money is a struggle for him, I prefer to save. Honestly I could go on and on. We are just perfect for each other.
We spent the first few months of our married life planning our big wedding. It was a perfect day. I only wish it hadn't gone by so fast. People constantly told me before our big day that I needed to slow down and enjoy the entire day. I tried. I made a conscious effort to see the little things in the day, to enjoy every moment, to not stress over anything and thank God for everything. I did all of these things, but it didn't slow down. I walked out of the room and down the isle to my handsome man standing in Air Force blues. We held hands and said our vows. Kissed and walked back up the isle. Everything was perfect.
After the wedding was over we spent another month in Abilene as I worked to finish my bachelor's degree. Then we said good-bye to our friends, family, and our two pups and boarded a plane. Flew on the longest flight of my life. My husband of course had done this before so he was able to calm my fears and assure me everything was going to be just fine.
We landed in a foreign country without a return trip ticket. The days that followed are somewhat of a blur. We embarked on the most amazing journey. Spent a couple weeks in a hotel, then moved into our house and began unpacking everything!
We traveled to Bury St. Edmunds, Cambridge, Great Yarmouth, Dover, Ely, London, Bathe, Stonehenge, and our favorite trip - Germany. We have seen things we never dreamed of seeing. I've flown in a C-130 over the Dover Cliffs.
By the grace of God and the help of my mom we figured out how to put both our dogs on an international flight. Jery has been promoted, and I couldn't be more proud of him. We have met amazing friends. Mastered driving on the wrong side of the road. We have celebrated both of our birthdays, Fourth of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years together in a foreign country. We have started going to church consistently, and it's been life changing!
We have done so much as a couple, and it's only been one year! Only a lifetime more to go! It's been fun, hard, stressful, delightful, educational, adventurous, scary, and so rewarding. I wouldn't change a thing! I can't wait to see what God has in store for us for our second year of marriage!
Thanks for joining us through this adventure!

Here's a picture of us on our anniversary!
